Itinerary :
Day 1 : Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
Start our 4 days trip of Morocco and Departure from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via Tizi N’tichka. Cross the mountains of the High Atlas you admire the Berber villages and beautiful landscapes of the High Atlas. Then arrive at the village of Ait Ben Haddou where you visit the kasbah (classified by Unesco). You will continue to Ouarzazate and visit movie studios. Then we continue to Ouarzazate, After lunch we drive to Dades Gorges via the palm grove of Skoura we will visit the Amrhydil kasbah. Then, we will pass through the town of Roses towards the Dades gorges, Dinner and overnight homestay.
Day 2 : Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
Morning departure to Merzouga Desert, we visit the Palmeraie area which has thousands of palm trees… Then, get to Todra Gorges visit it by walking tour arround, Continuation through Tinejdad, Erfoud then have lunch at Rissani and visit Alaouit’s first King Tomb ( Current Moroccan Royal Family ). Then we arrive to Merzouga Desert. 1 Night stay in Hotel near sand dunes of Merzouga.
Day 3 : Visit Merzouga – 4×4 desert tour
Today, we will spend most of the day exploring the desert area & having less-hours of driving. You’ll initially learn about the unique system of irrigation known as “Khettaras” through which water is conveyed from far distances by digging a chain of wells that are interconnected with an underground channel. Drive through the village of Merzouga to the Khamlia Village. The latter is resided by a tribe who were brought as slaves from the Sub-Sahara lands & they are known for the Gnawa Music, which they perform to the guest-visitors as a way to gain a source of income.
Have a complete tour around the sand dunefield of Erg Chebbi while including many short breaks for taking pictures. You’ll visit a local nomad family so that you can learn about their unique style of life while sharing a mint tea with them. After lunch, you’ll drive back to your hotel/Riad by the sand dunes where you can relax & chill out to get prepared for the next day’s adventure.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Fes
After sunrise, we will ride the camels back to the hotel we will be able to have showers and breakfast, before continuing our journey to Fez.
We leave Merzouga on route to Fez, passing through many places: Arfoud, Errachidia, Ziz Valley, Meditlt, Cedar Forests of Azrou, Ifrane and Fez. On a good day you might be able to catch a glimpse of the monkeys that live in the forests. We will stop for lunch along the way in one of the many restaurants. Our guide will make sure you reach your chosen Riad or Hotel. Here we will leave at your Riad or Hotel and end of our services.
