Day 1: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

We will pick you up from your riad/hotel in Fes at sharp 8:00 a.m. Then we will move for Midelt through the Mountains and the cedar forest of the middle Atlas, crossing Ifrane- a charming ski resort and Azrou town, an important handicraft centre specialised in the work of cedar wood. We will take our lunch at Midelt. After lunch we will drive to Erfoud, and then into the desert of Erg Chebbi which consists of high sandy dunes. After arriving in Merzouga at night, we will take our dinner in the hotel.

Day 2 : Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani -Erg Chebbi

After breakfast, we will explore Erg Chebbi dunes. In our way, we will visit the village of KHAMLIA, a Moroccan village, inhabited by black people. The village is famous for its people’s performance on Gnawa Music. We will then visit the Oasis of Merzouga which preserves an old system of irrigation, and then to Rissani to explore ancient Ksours and Kasbahs. After a local and typical lunch, we will drive back to the hotel around 4:00 p.m. Once we reach there, we will go for a camel trek to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will spend your night in a bivouac (camp) and enjoy Berber dinner, before going for a peaceful night under a nomad tent.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

After the sunrise, we will have our breakfast in the Sahara Desert and return by camels to the hotel for a shower. In Erfoud, we will experience the treatment of fossilized stones and marbles, before continuing between palm groves. We will have our lunch and then take a short walk in the Todra Gorges and spend overnight in a hotel.

Day 4 : Dades Gorges – Valley of Roses – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Benhadou – Marrakech

On day 4, we will take a short walk in the gorges before departing for Marrakech. We will then follow the Dades Valley through El Kelaa Magona, the Valley of the Roses and the road of a Thousand Kasbahs. After having our lunch in Ait Benhadou village, we will drive the rest of the time through the high Atlas Mountains via Tichka pass. We will reach Marrakech in the evening.
